On Hold Until After Lent
Tuesday, 23 Feb 2010
“Live and Direct Community Meetings” on hold

The Barbados Labour Party wishes to advise that we will be placing our: “Live and Direct Community Meetings” on hold - until after the \'Season of Lent.\'

Kindly note, that we will continue our conversation with the people, through this forum - after Easter.

We take this opportunity to thank you - the people of Barbados for your overwhelming attendance and interest in our “Live and Direct Community Meetings”.

Week-after-week, the numbers are growing and we thank you for your awareness of a re-newed, re-freshed and re-committed Barbados Labour Party. We are listening and can hear you and want to continue to hear from you.

Building strong, vibrant and peaceful communities

One of the fundamental differences between ‘Team Barbados Labour Party’ and the Dems - is that: we believe in building strong, vibrant and peaceful communities, while the Dems are interested ONLY in Constituencies, which they are exploiting for partisan political reasons. It is why they are asking you to come to them.

Servants of the people

In contrast, we see ourselves as: “servants of the people.” It is why we are coming to your communities to speak to you – ‘Live and Direct.’

Time for reflection

We invite you to use this time for soul-searching and repentance. We also suggest that this time could be used for quiet reflection, stock taking and rededication. (HB)
