Welcome to the Barbados Labour Party Website. This is now the third consecutive term for BLP Government as we continue to serve the people of Barbados. This Party has fully restored the economic fortunes of Barbados by crafting an enduring economic recovery, that has featured robust economic growth, stable prices, low inflation, a surge of investment and a restoration of economic confidence.

The Party has sought to develop and maximise the use of our human resources and to systematically develop productive capacity relevant to today's purposes and tomorrow's needs. We have revolutionised our education programmes and have attended to long standing problems in the fields of Health, Solid Waste Management and Social Services with the intent of providing Barbadians with a better quality of life and improved oppourtunities for social and economic advancement.

The Party has infused our system of governance with the spirit and practice of participation. We have launched the most comprehensive programme to provide Barbadians with affordable housing and inspired a greater sense of national identity. Our people are moving forward with ever increasing momentum and through the use of the Internet as a more direct and advanced method of communication that appeals to a wider audience of both young and old, locally and internationally, the party will continue to share our knowledge and information with the people of Barbados through this medium.

The BLP government has managed the economy judiciously, productively and with foresight, with the highest priority on the well being of the poorest and the otherwise vulnerable of our citizens.

Barbados' dramatic economic turnaround would not have been possible without the fullest participation of the Barbadian people, their energy, enterprise and commitment have been central in propelling the nation forward. Let us continue to move forward in unity with Barbados' greatest Political Party, the Barbados Labour Party.

Dr. William Duguid, M.P.

Promise Keepers?
The DLP does not care that it is causing us economic hardship. It also seems disinterested that as Barbadians care about our jobs, income and financial security. We also care about our safety and whether we will be able to pay our mortgage, keep our jobs or be safe in our homes and communities. It is frightening that the level of crime has gone up since February this year.
