Wishes for peace and goodwill are synonymous with the season of Christmas, and we at barbadoslabourparty.com, the leadership and rank and file of the Barbados Labour Party, begin the season by wishing all Barbadians and members of the wider Caribbean community God’s blessings.

The meaning of the season is never lost on us and we therefore invite all to take time out during their preparation and merriment to give thanks to the Father for the gift of his Son, who came to Earth to save man from the eternal pain of sin.

We entreat you to share your blessings in some tangible form with the less fortunate, being always mindful of your responsibility to be your brother’s keeper.

We also invite you to give thank for another year of astute, energetic and innovative leadership of the country by the Owen Arthur Administration, recognizing that it is because of this leadership that:

• Unemployment today stands at 7.1 per cent, its lowest in recorded history.
• Investor confidence is at its highest, as evidenced by the hundreds of millions of dollars being pumped into the economy.
• Our foreign reserves continue to climb to unprecedented levels.
• National productivity remains impressive

Barbadians truly have many reasons to be thankful.
