NewsLast weekend Deputy Prime Minister Mia Mottley addressed the news media on a wide range of subjects, including the allegation by the Democratic Labour Party that results of a poll published in the Press then had been commissioned and paid for by the Barbados Labour Party.
She made it clear that the party had absolutely nothing to do with the poll, a point supported by officials of the University of the West Indies, which in fact conducted the research.
The BLP deputy also responded to allegation by the Dems that the ruling party had diverted hampers from the National Assistance Board to its candidate to support their election campaigns.
She also took the opportunity to challenge DLP leader David Thompson for criticizing Arthur for calling an election at this time, when just weeks earlier he publicly called on the Prime Minister to “call the election now”.
