NewsLikely Melt Down of the Barbados Economy
Thursday, 18 Sep 2008
Opposition Leader Miss Mia Mottley, Q.C., M.P., sounds the alarm about a likely melt-down of the Barbados economy due to the exercise of poor judgment and lack of sound economic leadership. She calls on Government to make good on its pledge to “put people first” and ease the pressure caused by the DLP’s policy of high taxation and increased petroleum prices.
Miss Mottley seems unhappy, and rightly so too, that the DLP, which promised a Freedom of Information Act, would keep the unemployment and economic statistics a closely guarded secret.
